Job Introduction:

An IT Support Analyst is a hands-on role within G4S Secure Integration's IS Department. As a member of the IT Support Center team, the IT Support Analyst is responsible for coordinating Level I and Level l II computer system problem resolution, and the life cycle management for laptop/desktop computing systems. On a day-to-day basis, the IT Support Analyst works with G4S Secure Integration Staff in troubleshooting Windows environment and network issues, maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Additionally, they are responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving technical issues related to business applications as well as other productivity applications.  The overall objective of this role is to be a key member of the G4S North America IT team providing excellent support, infrastructure and network security expertise, both directly and to end users and also in support of colleagues across the Group.

Role Responsibility:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Work as a key member of a flexible team of IT specialists
  • Keep up to date with and adhere to all corporate IT standards, security controls, policies and procedures, systems, and best practices
  • Deliver a high-quality and friendly IT Support Service to all customers
  • Effective use of the IT Service Management Toolset with frequent and accurate updates to all IT tickets, with resolution in a timely manner in-line with assigned priorities
  • Troubleshoot problems and proactively maintain secure network and server infrastructure, end points, operating systems, and business applications
  • To contribute high quality technical documentation to the IT knowledge base
  • Partake in project work as necessary
  • To provide out-of-hours support an a rota basis if required
  • Travel to other G4S Secure Integration offices and customer sites if required
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 3 years equivalent combination of education and related experience.  2 + years hands on experience providing Level 1-2 technical support for Microsoft desktops and MS Office, and PC computer hardware/peripherals.  Demonstrated skills and knowledge in Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Sharepoint administration, Google for Work Platform, and Dell, Lenovo, HP Laptops and Desktop Hardware.  Must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills, communication skills, customer services skills, and be a team player

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The applicant must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written English, including the ability to present complex information in simple language to non-technical audiences.

The applicant must have the ability to communicate and assist users with varying levels of computer expertise.  The position will require substantial interaction with other departments and field employees and outside calls are frequently fielded and must be handled in a professional manner.

REASONING ABILITY

The applicant must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  The applicant must have the proven ability to quickly analyze and resolve issues around desktop technologies and implement a solution while under pressure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the applicant is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The applicant is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time.  The applicant may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable applicants with disabilities to perform essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
