Job Introduction:

The Operations Manager will support the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing professional services organization. With the role based in the Greater Boston Area, the ideal candidate will bring strong project management and organizational skills to support a broad variety of operational projects and daily functions. This position monitors and manages the business unit’s project progress, the effectiveness of its management and staff, optimizes financial performance, and provides for effective financial reporting, scheduling, quality assurance and control, safety, and management of the company’s relationship with the customer.

Role Responsibility:

  • Is ultimately responsible for the on-time and on-budget completion of internal and external projects and programs
  • Ensures the contract and customer requirements are fulfilled, and plays a key part in contract management and business process efficiencies.
  • Serves as the primary contact for the customer on issues related to the contract and the program.
  • Manage various internal meetings, agendas and coordinate development of presentations for monthly full-team meetings.
  • Ensures that all activities on the program are conducted in such a way that protects company assets and adheres to company policies and procedures, including safety, Human Resources, Accounting, fixed assets, etc.
  • Manages the preparation and execution of program/project plans, schedules, budgets, reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Three to five years of progressively more responsible telecom, wireless or security construction and management experience.  Work experience with Program Management, project management, site acquisition, zoning and construction is required. 


Desirable work experience includes construction field management, contract management, project oversight responsibility, QA/QC, scheduling, estimating and subcontract management.  Supervisory experience required.  Candidate must have good Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint experience.  A BS degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, or construction management/engineering is preferred.  An acceptable equivalent in education and experience will be considered.  Successful candidates must be able to pass drug screening, possess a valid driver’s license, be able to obtain and maintain a valid US passport.  Domestic US travel will be required.



Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction contracts, construction drawings and specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to effectively present information to upper management and public groups as necessary both in written or oral formats.  Communicates effectively in both oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports.  Should possess good customer service abilities along with refined grammar skills.  The position may require significant interaction with other departments and field employees.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.



While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The incumbent is required to travel to local and remote sites, walk daily on construction sites in rough terrain, and climb ladders and facilities under construction.  The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time.  The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.  And occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.




While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent regularly splits time between work in a semi-quiet construction office environment and on construction sites, where there is moderate to occasional great noise levels.  Travel is required.
