Job Introduction:


The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Operational Auditor. As an Operational Auditor, you will support the Operational Audit Manager to complete audits for the US Secure Solutions business and ensure delivery in an efficient, effective manner reporting on compliance to the company operational procedures and policies. The position will involve travel in North America.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Conduct operational internal audits of scope on the North American operations for the organization, including compliance testing to defined US policies
  • Identify and document audit findings to include control weaknesses, missing controls or process improvements
  • Formulate relevant questions and develop ways to supply and clarify answers; communicate facts and ideas clearly both orally and in writing
  • Prepare concise, informative and influential reports of findings and recommendations for review by Operational Audit Manager
  • Supporting the business to find efficient processes and embed solutions
  • Participate in the planning, development, and management of audit programs

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one of the following:
    • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Criminal Justice or a closely related field
    • High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of progressive management experience in a team leadership aspect of a business enterprise or governmental agency

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Experience supporting or taking part in an operational audit(s)
  • Experience supporting or taking part in investigation(s)

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching.
